Dataflow Enrich with Template

The Enrich with Template dataflow reads property values from a Simplebim template file (Excel) and adds them to the model objects as properties within the Simplebim Property Set. Both text and numeric property values can be enriched from the template. The property names in the template must start with the prefix 03_ to be recognized. Up to four text properties and four numeric properties can be selected for enrichment. The dataflow also automatically creates groups based on the enriched text property values.

This dataflow provides an easy way to populate model objects with data from an external template. The enriched data can be project-specific or company-level standardized data, which can be enriched in a scalable way across projects. For example, it can be used to add classification codes or installation duration in hours per unit without manually editing each object.

Step Name

The name of the dataflow step. The step name can be edited manually.

Select Simplebim Template for Enrichment

File Name

The name and path of the Simplebim Template file (Excel, .xlsx) from which the property values will be read and enriched to the base model objects.

Set Property Names

Base Model 03_Properties and assigned values will be automatically added to the Simplebim Property Set for the target objects.

03_Text Property 1

The name of the first text value property from the Simplebim template to be enriched. The property name must start with 03_.

03_Text Property 2

The name of the second text value property from the template to be enriched. The property name must start with 03_. This field is available when at least one text property has been defined.

03_Text Property 3

The name of the third text value property from the template to be enriched. The property name must start with 03_. This field is available when at least two text properties have been defined.

03_Text Property 4

The name of the fourth text value property from the template to be enriched. The property name must start with 03_. This field is available when at least three text properties have been defined.

03_Numeric Property 1

The name of the first numeric value property from the Simplebim template to be enriched. The property name must start with 03_.

03_Numeric Property 2

The name of the second numeric value property from the template to be enriched. The property name must start with 03_. This field is available when at least one numeric property has been defined.

03_Numeric Property 3

The name of the third numeric value property from the template to be enriched. The property name must start with 03_. This field is available when at least two numeric properties have been defined.

03_Numeric Property 4

The name of the fourth numeric value property from the template to be enriched. The property name must start with 03_. This field is available when at least three numeric properties have been defined.
