Dataflow Generate Groups by Text Property

The Generate Groups by Text Property dataflow groups objects based on the values of a user-specified text property. These groups are created as child groups under a parent group specified by the user. If the parent group does not exist, it will be created automatically.

The dataflow can be used to "drill down" the building model by creating a hierarchy of object groups automatically.  

Settings

Step Name

The name of the dataflow step. A dynamic name will be automatically generated based on the configuration, but you can also overwrite it manually.

Group

Select if you want to group All Object Classes or just Single Object Class. 

Object Class

The class of objects that are grouped by text property. Visible only if single object class mode is used.

By Property

The name of the text property used for grouping objects.

Group Category

The name of the group category to which the parent groups is created. The default value is Generic Group, but it can be changed e.g. to IFC Group.

Parent Group

The name of the parent group. The default value is My Objects by Text Property, but it can be edited.
