The Add Basic Quantities dataflow calculates geometry-based dimensions and quantities for all objects and assigns the results to standard properties within a Simplebim property set. The selection of calculated quantities for each object depends on its object class (see below), while the property set and property names remain consistent across all object classes.
This dataflow provides an easy way to add standardized quantity data for all objects. These quantities enable combining different object classes within the same quantity take-off or calculation process.

Image: Calculated quantities for Door and Window objects. For windows, the frame length is calculated based on the perimeter; for doors, it is calculated as (2 × height) + width.
