This video series introduces you to the powerful features of Bimsheet in Simplebim, your bridge between BIM and Excel. Learn how to easily extract data from IFC models using simple drag and drop actions, and create dynamic spreadsheets that stay connected to your BIM data across model updates and projects.
Discover how to visualize and verify your calculations directly in the 3D model by clicking any Excel cell, something no other open BIM tool offers. You’ll also explore how to import data from Excel back into your model, merging external inputs like quantities, statuses, or schedules with ease, without needing expensive model authoring tools.
These tutorials walk you through real-world workflows like bill of quantities, spatial validation, and more. They show how Bimsheet makes BIM more open, smart, and repeatable. Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve your BIM data handling, this series will show you how Bimsheet can transform the way you work with IFC models.

Hello @Gio,
I’m trying to create a Dataflow, and one step is exporting an Excel file as a Bimsheet with specific data every time. Is there any way to automate this? Or do I have to click Add Bimsheet every time and then add the columns I want manually?
Hi Razieh,
Sorry for the late reply.
You should be able to automate this using Bimsheet: Export dataflow step. You can use a predefined Bimsheet file as a template for the Excel file export. There is more information in the documentation: Bimsheet: Export
