Edit GUIDs: Repair Duplicate and Invalid GUIDs

This tool creates new Globally Unique IDs (GUID) for all objects that have either a GUID that is already used by another object in the same model or have a GUID with an invalid format. The resulting GUIDs are also unique when compared with a case-insensitive comparison.

This tool is useful if your model contains objects with duplicate or invalid GUIDs. It can also be used if the target system for the IFC exchange treats GUIDs as case-insensitive. In such cases, the original IFC model is fully valid, but will still not work in the target system.

Settings

This tool does not have any settings. It will always process the whole model.
