Writing Log File

When Simplebim crashes the log file can help our technical support to figure out the problem. To enable writing a log file hold down Ctrl and Shift while starting Simplebim. This shows a ‘Startup Options’ dialog.

If Ctrl+Shift does not work

(This option is available in Simplebim 10.1 and later.)
When you start Simplebim from a batch file (.bat) or a shortcut you can give the following start-up arguments:
LOG=
LOG=<log file name with full path>
If you omit the log file name, the Start-up Options will be shown just like if you had used Ctrl+Shift. If you give the log file name, the dialog will not be shown and the log will be written to the file you specified.

Specify a log file and click OK and Simplebim starts normally. Now perform the actions that cause Simplebim to crash and when Simplebim is closed, send the resulting log file to our support.
